Applications Engineer (2 openings)

Generate comprehensive quotations, calculate thermodynamic and gas law relationships, design vacuum systems, answer telephone inquiries concerning equipment sizing and pricing and service related topics, present technical talks, assist in the technical training of customers and Busch personnel and write technical articles and field advisories. Lead the design process for Industrial vacuum systems and manage these projects to meet customer expectations.

 

Requirements:

• Must possess excellent technical aptitude with sound design and application knowledge about industrial systems, preferably from the vacuum industry.

• This person will also have the ability to apply engineering concepts, calculate, design, quote and specify vacuum systems.

• Must possess project management capabilities to execute the role of a project leader especially for vacuum system orders serving the industrial market.

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal personnel to realize job objectives.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

• Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format.

• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

• Evaluate requests for quotation, obtain all missing and resolve contradictory information.

• Design proposed vacuum system to meet the customer’s requirements, calculating gas flows, pressure drops and heat load requirements.

• Select and cost all quoted components.

• Recommend system selling price based on established profit margin criteria.

• Prepare and keyboard comprehensive price quotations within customer and departmental time requirements.

• Interface with customers and field personnel, on the phone and in person, providing information on pricing, equipment operation, and trouble shooting.

• Check all pump and system orders for correctness and for agreement with the quotation.

• Assist the Service Department, as requested, in establishing safe operating procedures and in resolving field problems.

• Provide field sales and marketing with technical information, such as reports, charts, nomograph, and calculations to aid in selling the Busch products.

• Execute the role of a “Project Leader” in the design, development and manufacturing of standard and custom industrial vacuum systems.

• Manages system design process to meet customer expectations. This includes but is not limited to application knowledge, customer requirements, drawings and design compliance, system functionality, project planning and execution.

• Give prepared technical presentations, in house and in the field, to assist in marketing and training programs.

• Assist Sales and Marketing, as requested, in the development of new markets and new market strategies.

• Provide statistical information to maintain a company history of quotations and installed equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

 

BSME, BSCHE, from a four-year college or university or technical degree and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Executive Assistant

Position Summary:

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing assistance to the President; may be assigned special projects; may be assigned management responsibilities for certain functions; will research and compile data, develop reports, complete special projects and assist in coordinating the planning activities for the company; other responsibilities include budget preparation, assisting in policy formulation, record keeping and administrative detail and follow-up functions to assist the President. Capacity Planner - Busch Manufacturing LLC

The Capacity Planner is to provide obtainable Capacity Plan for the manufacturing of products based on requirements set forth by the Inventory Planner and the SOP. This individual is responsible for analyzing, determining needed production quantities, managing priorities of each of the individual manufacturing resources, and ultimately tendering orders. The Capacity Planner monitors planned vs. actual outputs, and reports deficiencies. Responsible for gathering performance data and assesses whether or not departments are performing according to production schedules.

 

Produces reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas where improvements can be implemented. This individual participates and supports Production teams for manufacturing line(s) to provide priorities be support in resolving line balancing issues.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Analyzes requirements for assigned resources/groups, and as required; makes decisions regarding manufacturing/production strategies that maximize productivity and efficiency levels while maintaining the expected level of customer service satisfaction and not exceeding the target set for inventory value.

• Capacity planner receives various inputs such as: Planned Releases, Shortage Report, Line Leader updates, Article Inspection Reports, Engineering Change Reports, Material Discrepancy Reports, and other planning reports. This position will review such documents for correct data elements, verifies data element change requirements, and enters data requirements into the appropriate existing data management system.

• Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations regarding production orders and/or strategies, based on requests received from customer.

• Analyzes capacity planning attributes and makes changes where necessary.

• Develops and implements measures and process changes focused at reducing the amount of production orders not completed timely.

• Participates in meetings, conferences, seminars, training, and other technical programs.

Marketing Manager

Position Summary: This position requires a high energy, dynamic and outgoing individual with business to business internet savvy.

 

The Marketing Manager reports directly to the President and is the primary program manager for all Marketing activities for the United States (including Puerto Rico) in support of company goals and objectives.

Electrical Technician

Product Engineer

This employee assists in the technical support and management of the product line so that the company can maximize its service, sales, profitability, and unit volume of such products. This support includes the maintenance of documentation for products, preparation of new product introductions, and technical support of the product to sales, customers and the company for such products. This position involves the regular support of sales on various inquiry types which includes providing product quotations, and technical calculations. Direct Marketing Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY

The Direct Marketing Administrator is responsible for supporting the company’s marketing communications plan by developing, executing and supporting direct marketing initiatives to increase lead generation while working within the company’s CRM database.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Assist in the development, execution and evaluation of direct marketing campaigns, supported through use of the company CRM software and website.

o Perform lead generation and qualification through internal and external resources

o Research and sourcing of industry prospects (internet, trade associations, etc.)

o Research and development of prospects using internal systems and resources (CRM)

o Track and analyze direct marketing campaigns

o Evaluate and optimize effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns

o Provide input on promotional material in support of direct marketing campaigns

• Manage daily marketing operation activities including:

o Market Segment coding within CRM

o Overall CRM administration

o Customer Satisfaction survey

• Handle special marketing communications projects as assigned in support of the department’s objectives.

• Follow and support the Busch Global corporate design guidelines set forth to ensure consistent branding across all Busch companies.

Customer Engineer (2 openings)

Under the direction of the OEM Support Center Manager, provides support and manages OEM contracts and relationships. Provides support for quotation, proposal and submittal generation, assist with customer service, products and general department business issues. Respond to telephone, fax and e-mail inquiries concerning equipment sizing, specification, pricing and service related topics in a timely manner. Develop ability to read and understand architectural, mechanical and electrical plans and specifications.

 

The Customer Engineer will be responsible for evaluating requests for quotation, obtain all missing and resolve contradictory information. Select and price vacuum pumps, systems, parts and accessories to meet customer requirements. Check system and orders for correctness. Report regularly on the status of accounts, projects, order activity, purchases and product or service issues. Interface with Service personnel, OEM's, third party representatives and end users to coordinate successful pump replacement or repair plan as needed. Assist OEM Support Center Manager with forecasting, materials planning and inventory management.

 

Successful applicant will have proficiency in using MS Office products and experience with ERP software preferred. Knowledge of mechanical rotating equipment pumps and/or compressors preferred. Will also have the ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Ability to organize and direct a project to completion. Successful applicant will have 2 – 5 years experience in technical sales, engineering, service or customer support role dealing with mechanical environments and rotating equipment pumps and/or compressors. Strong project management and problem solving skills. Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
